Retro-gamer Revolution- Resident Evil 2

            While only 10 years old, most people will shine away from this masterpiece in favor of RE4.  Resident Evil 4 did reinvent the franchise and yes it was very good, but most elitist gamers will tell you that it really doesn’t feel like Resident Evil.  The games were originally survival horror, now they are more action oriented.

            This gem however is the pinnacle of old school RE.  The inaugural game featuring Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape from the viral Raccoon City has one of the most interesting story-lines in the series and almost unlimited replay value to unlock a slew of secret items and characters.  The original version was for the Playstation but you could find it ported to the PC, N64, Sega Dreamcast, or even the GameCube.
